Who is TranSe?

TranSe is a Los Angeles-born multidisciplinary artist, magician, and indie game developer. Known for his unique fusion of spoken word poetry and illusion, he creates deeply immersive storytelling experiences under his creative label, The TranSed Mind.

 

Early Life & Magical Origins

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, TranSe’s fascination with magic began at just 10 years old. His passion was ignited by an unexpected spark: a magic show performed by his substitute teacher, Mr. Gold. Captivated by the art of wonder, TranSe immediately threw himself into card manipulation and playground tricks.

Though his practice was intermittent throughout his youth, he fully re-committed to the craft in 2010—so much so that he began seamlessly integrating magic into his college projects and final presentations.

 

Fusing Poetry & Illusion

Having honed his creative voice in his high school poetry club, TranSe eventually brought his writing to Freedom of Speech Thursdays, a staple open mic night in Hollywood. It was on that stage that he first experimented with his signature style: blending original performance poetry with live illusion.

The crowd’s overwhelming response marked a turning point in his artistic journey, propelling TranSe into the local creative scene and paving the way for a series of groundbreaking performances, game development projects, and artistic collaborations.
