This vision led him to local access television, where he created The MacMall Show, a variety program that showcased his writing, acting, and hosting. His transition to film was marked by his lead role in the independent movie The Licks, where he played a struggling artist navigating the streets of Chicago—a role mirrored by his own life, using his community as the cast and his music as the soundtrack.

 

The Hiatus & The Refinement Life brought setbacks and profound loss, leading Macck to step back from the spotlight. With the birth of his son, "The Don," he embraced the role of a full-time father. During this period, music shifted from a career to a private sanctuary. He spent years perfecting his flow and expanding his catalog with no intention of sharing it, falling in love with "the sport of killing the beat."
